Zara Tindall – a Trip Down Tindall’s Lane

Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting our long-term sponsored rider Zara Tindall at her home and what a day it was!

Set against a backdrop of classic British charm, Zara’s working yard is nothing short of breathtaking. Traditional stone buildings sit comfortably alongside vast, open fields (so expansive you would nearly expect a plane to land), with winding, romantic laneways giving the whole place a fairytale feel. It’s calm, considered, and full of history,  just like the rider herself.

From the moment we arrived, Zara and her team welcomed us with open arms. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of purpose, a real reflection of the professionalism and passion that defines everything she does.

Zara has been a Bucas rider for over 7 years and hearing her speak about the trust she places in our rugs and products was a real moment for the whole team. Her genuine belief in Bucas and its role in her horses’ everyday care is something we are very proud to be part of.

Throughout the day, Zara opened up about her journey into the world of horses — how she got started, the horse that stole her hear and her most memorable moments in the saddle to date. And when we talk about achievements, we’re not just talking about a few highlights.

Zara’s equestrian career has been nothing short of remarkable. She won Individual Gold at the European Eventing Championships in 2006 riding Toytown, and followed it up with Team Silver at the 2012 London Olympics — a moment of national pride and personal triumph. Her consistent presence on the international eventing stage is a testament to her talent, tenacity, and lifelong commitment to the sport.

But beyond the medals and podiums, it’s her grounded nature, love for the horses, and genuine connection with her team and animals that truly stands out.

See the full video, where Zara talks about her start in riding, her career highlights, and why Bucas continues to be part of her every day routine.
